Oni Higgins is a purpose-driven storyteller, media professional, and entrepreneur whose life and career are deeply rooted in faith, resilience, and impact. She began her on-air career at NY1 News in New York City, where she brought compassion and clarity to community-focused journalism. Her time in broadcast opened the door to freelance opportunities covering major red carpets, cultural events, and high-profile interviews for outlets like BET, Black Enterprise, Bold TV, and more.

With more than eight years of experience spanning journalism, public relations, and brand strategy, Oni has built a reputation for merging storytelling with strategy. Currently serving as a Corporate Senior Communications Manager, she leads media relations and brand campaigns for celebrity beauty brands, with her work appearing in Vogue, ESSENCE, Allure, Harper’s Bazaar, and Travel + Leisure.

Oni’s journey is not just professional—it is profoundly personal. A recent cancer survivor, she openly shares her story of healing and faith as a testimony of God’s grace and strength. Her battle with illness deepened her spiritual walk and ignited a renewed mission: to be a vessel of hope, encouragement, and purpose for others—especially women navigating trials of their own.

Outside of corporate life, Oni is the founder of a luxury shoe brand set to relaunch soon—fusing style, empowerment, and elegance with intention. She is also a public speaker, author, and mentor who champions young women of color through faith-centered guidance, career support, and access to community. Her  debut book reflects her passion for transparency and transformation, and she is currently working on her second release: a powerful memoir chronicling her path through adversity, healing, and divine purpose.

Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, Oni is a proud graduate of Penn State University and holds a Master’s Degree in Digital Media Management. She continues to use her voice, her platform, and her story to inspire others to lean into God, trust the process, and walk boldly in their calling.
