Rooted in purpose, led by grace, and committed to telling stories that are seen, heard, and remembered, Oni Higgins is a global storyteller, former broadcast television reporter, and the Founder & Executive Director of Aspire Media Foundation — a media training and mentorship organization dedicated to equipping the next generation of storytellers through access, education, and hands-on industry experience.

Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Oni’s passion for storytelling began in broadcast journalism, where she worked as a multimedia journalist and entertainment reporter covering breaking news, red carpets, and culturally defining moments. Her on-camera reporting experience and ability to connect through authentic storytelling became the foundation for the impactful platforms she builds today.

A proud alumna of Pennsylvania State University and Arkansas State University, Oni has spent over eight years shaping narratives across media, beauty, culture, and communications — helping globally recognized brands amplify stories that resonate and create impact.

Through Aspire Media Foundation, Oni is committed to creating opportunities for young people to see themselves in media, learn the power of storytelling, and gain real-world experience in broadcasting, production, journalism, and digital media. Her long-term vision is to build global platforms rooted in storytelling, mentorship, and access — ensuring the next generation of voices are not only heard, but empowered to lead.
